How we started

Hello, my name is Scott Ferreira and I’m the owner of Empire Playground Inspection. My goal has always been to  make playgrounds as safe as possible for the end user. As a maintenance mechanic for a township and being a parent myself I wanted to start a company that would take playground maintenance seriously and stress the importance of routine maintenance. This company all started with my experience working on playground units for the Town of Yorktown in Yorktown Heights NY. We started a playground remediation initiative in order to audit, inspect,  update and maintain our 16 playground units. I recieved my national certification for playground safety and using my previous mechanical knowledge built a plan to remadiate 14 of the 16 playgrounds we already had in use along with auditing and maintaining two brand new playgrounds. During this time I noticed that playgrounds aren’t a “set it and forget it feature“ they need constant upkeep ,quarterly inspections and maintenance . My main goal is to help in anyway I can And ensure playgrounds are safe.
