Playground Safety audits are more in depth than a standard yearly safety inspection and should be completed post installation of a new playground unit or after any significant repairs have been made to existing play equipment. Our playground safety audits are a proven system to determine the likelihood of an injury or death on your play structures from common playground hazards. We check for head and neck entrapments, crush and sheer possibilities, protrusion and sharp edges on mounting hardware and much more. Our 21 page safety audit focuses on different variables such as the ones listed above as well as surfacing compliance , site fencing compliance and site ADA compliance. Each safety audit takes roughly 2-4 hours to complete depending on the size of the play unit and surrounding play area. We will then categorize any non compliant items into a list based the likelihood to cause injury to the user.  Along with this we will also supply manufacturer contact information if needed to purchase the correct parts to remediate the problem and for an added fee we can contact the manufacturer order the parts and install them ensuring they meet current safety standards.

Yearly Playground safety Inspections are not as in depth as the initial playground safety audit.After the initial audit is completed and the initial standard of care has been established we can focus on play unit upkeep and yearly maintenance. Safety inspections are compressed into a single easy to read page. We still check all of the common problem areas we see on playground units such as loose decking bolts, railings, barriers and common rust and freeze and thaw issues. We will also tighten any visibly loose hardware and make notes of things that cannot be fixed same day. We can offer a remediation plan and any contact numbers you will need with manufacturers and if necessary for an added fee we will contact the manufacturer order parts and install them without having to take staff away from other work to perform playground repairs. After repairs have been made you will get a post repair inspection and also a signed work order to document the work that was completed.

Just like any major investment. Commercial playground units need upkeep and repair minimally on a yearly basis. Our employees are trained in playground repairs and maintenance. Using a playground safety Company to repair playground units is important because we are trained in the most recent standards set by the CPSC.
